Balkans 44 Betrayal and Loss... By the end of the summer of 1944 the once proud Army Group South was pretty much a memory. Its component commands were broken up into groups named after their commanders. The German partners were either sick of the war, or had already surrendered to the Allies. In Yogoslavia , partisans were bogging down units needed elsewhere. Hungary , Rumania , and Bulgaria were only shells of their former selves... The Russians had been relitively quiet in the region lately. After the destruction of army gruop center over the summer, many were waiting for the other shoe to drop. Once again, the re constituted 6th Army was to take the brunt of the battle... _________ Ver 1.0 Tested under TOAW 106 _________ Unit colors : German: Army - Grey on Grey SS - White on Grey Hungarian - Grey on White Luftwaffe - White on Grey Communist / Alied : Russian Army - Red on Red Guards - Green on Red Shock - Dk Red on Red Red Air Force - Lt Red on Red Rumanian - White on Red Bulgarian - Brown on Black Yogoslav Partisans - Purple on Lt Blue Greek Partisans : White on Tan ----------------------- Notes: 1) The Communists must take the Bulgarian ports to recieve the Bulgarian Army. 2) German reinforcements will vary, depending on outside events.
