Afghanistan 2001 Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan Designed by Kid Kool Historically accurate scenario based on the U.S. war in Afghanistan. As opposed to making this scenario balanced, I opted to make it more realistic. That being said, the taliban doesn't stand much of a chance. They put everything into defending mazar-e-sharif, and when the Northern Alliance captured it, the NA was able to advance uninhibited through the rest of Northern Afghanistan, while U.S. special forces and the E. Alliance of Pashtuns took control of Kandahar. After the fall of Kandahar and finally Tora Bora it was all just a matter of finding specific individuals. Notes Forces United States Great Britain Northern Alliance Eastern Alliance Turkey Australia Al-Qaeda Taliban Pakistanis Chinese Special Thanks to: Mark Kolenski (author of another Afghanistan scenario) for letting me use his incredibly well designed map of Afghanistan). I also want to thank another Afghanistan scenario designer since I used U.S. special forces and U. S. Air force units from his order of battle. |
