OPERATION NEVENOE Ledav against France and Arme de Liberation Nationale Designed by Damien Erwan Perrotin 114064,1241@Compuserve.com Scenario informations Location : Loire Valley Map scale : 9 km/hex Time scale 1/2 day/turn Unit scale : companies lenght : 28 turns tested on version 1.07 recommend side : either Unit colour : France : Various deep blue : French first Infantry division Various light blue : second armored division blue : French air force blue on white : foux de dieu religious militia various blue-grey :Amee de Liberation Nationale Ledav black on light grey :ledavian air force various dark : rann arme 1 various deep grey : tank brigadenn Significant events Acold front can significantly slow down operations 'Historical' Background This scenario is set up in my own alternate history world, where the planet is dominated by Turks and Russians, and Western Europe an underdeveloped backwater area, torn away by religious struggles between the moderate kingdom of Ledav and its integrists neighbours. . 1950 :The bloodshed of the Great Western War has come to nothing and an uneasy peace was forced by the exhausted Great Power on Ledav and its bigot neighbour. But nothing was resolved. Ledav still occupied large amount of French speaking territories and soon guerrilla warfare broke out in Anjou and Normandy. The Armee de Liberation Nationale established large camps around Blois and Vendome and mounted large raids along with the "Foux de Dieu" religious militia. In july 1950, they installed heavy artillery on the height near Le Mans and began to shell Ledavian position. That was too much. The Ledavian high command decided to retaliate and mounted a large raid aimed at destroying artillery positions and bases of the A.L.N. This operation has to be quick, to avoid foreign intervention and is likely to encounter heavy oppositionopposition from the official French forces there. |
