WACHT AM RHEINThe last German offensive in the Western frontVersion 1.01 1. Background For the second times in four years, the Meuse river is the objective of the German Army. Gathering three army, Hitler believe that his force can break the thin American line and take Liege and Anvers. This maneuver would cut off Montgomery British Army and split in half the American Bradley 12th Army Group. Altough caught by surprise, US forces quickly responded to German offensive. 101 AB early comitment by Ike led to the famous Bastogne siege as Patton 3rd Army rolled 45 degres to the north and fight it's way towards the besieged paratroopers.
