Baltic Tempest1. Background Reports confirmed CIS is mobilising 2 (possibly more) combined arms armies, invasion of at least one (probably all) baltic states by at soonest tommorow, probably in less than a week. Elements of 106 Guards airborne and a marine unit in Kalingrad have also been mobilised. Belosrussian forces have also been confined to base, but that report is unconfirmed. General , we take the view that the Russian invasion of these states is imperative from a political point of view, to destract the public from yet another failed currency reform. Also we believe it possible that due to the recent discovery of oil deposits beneath the Baltic sea, the Russian Goverment believes that ocupation of these states will give them great leaverage in the tapping of these resources. Our analists not only believe war with NATO ARRC forces possible, but also likely. The Nato Allied Rapid Reaction Corp is being mobilised, and there is a likliehood of a french participation in our buildup. German units at the moment will not take part (due to understandable political reasons) but will join if requested. 2. Unit color
