Background One of several last gasp attempts late in the war by the Japanese forces to secure the airfield at Chihchiang, China. The Chinese forces had as many divisions as the Japanese had regiments. Though a rather lop-sided campaign, the Japanese managed to make inroads before the Chinese forces managed to encircle enough of the force to stop the attack. |
