This volume is the fifth in a series of 18 scenarios trying to recreate in detail the various campaigns of the Vietnam War between 8 March 1965 (the landing of the first two US ground battalions) and 29 January 1973 (beginning of the Cease-fire).
It covers the first five months of 1967, the Year of Big Battles as it came to be known for the large-scale search & destroy operations launched by American and Allied forces in South Vietnam, especially the largest of them all, a Corps-wide operation named JUNCTION CITY conducted between February and May in the wilderness of northern Tay Ninh Province in the III Corps Tactical Zone.
The human player will earn VPs by capturing objective flags on map but also by fulfilling a number of missions during the game (for example by conducting combat operations, securing certain areas, establishing bases and CIDG camps etc...).
A chronology of events has been included in the manual, it serves both as a guideline for the player and to explain the missions the he will have to conduct to earn VPs.
