War in the East (1941-1945) This version is made to be played as the german player, or between two human opponents. This scenario was largely inspired by : NOTES The russian campaign was the largest and most decisive land campaign of World War II. This scenario is a modest attempt to simulate this gigantic struggle, at the scale of 1 hex=25 km, 1 turn=1 week. Units are armies and corps for the USSR, corps and divisions for Axis, with a few air and naval counters. The scenario begins on Barbarossa Operation's D-Day (the 22 of June 1941), and ends on april 1945. If you play the whole game, it will last 200 turns. If Moscow falls, there are 50% chances USSR surrenders. If Berlin falls, Axis will automatically surrenders. Why such a difference? Soviet Union is huge, and we can imagine that the fall of the capital is not enough to break the will to fight of such a gigantic country. Germany is NOT so huge... And for it, the fall of Berlin is really critical. If Budapest falls, Hungary army will surrender. Same thing for Bucuresti and Romania Army. Finnish Army will withdraw if Helsinki falls, or on turn 170. There are nearly four hundred events. Conquest or lost of critical towns as Moscow, Leningrad, Minsk, Kiev, Stalingrad, Rostov, Königsberg, Berlin and so on, will dramatically alter the course of the game by changing some belligerent's characteristics as supply, replacements, arrival of reinforcements and so on. Events also introduce U-Booten attacks, Murmansk's convoys and many other things. If Axis takes Grozny, Turkey will enter the war on Germany side. Only Fintroops may by transported by sea in the Baltic sea. Sea road is to place the right ships back.
