Schach1. Notes This scenario is designed for competitive PBEM play, although the programmed opponent is quite effective at playing such a simple scenario. Each side has absolutely identical forces, although most of these arrive somewhat randomly as reinforcements, which can dramatically alter each game. As in real war, the player will have to guess as to the enemy strength and then make a determination whether to attack or defend. Victory is achieved either via victory points, or by capturing the opponent's supply depot. The scenario uses some custom graphics, as well as a custom equipment database. A few notes: Pestilence is set at 1%, which means that unsupplied units will gradually dissolve. Once per game (after turn 30), your supply may double for about ten turns. There are random storms and weather changes. A few tips: Occupy and fortify the hills. Refrain from attacking without the support of headquarters units (which contain artillery). Let the air-manager micromanage for you. Be aware that reinforcements become increasingly strong and mobile as the game progresses; the computer is intelligent enough to push these around your flanks or through any holes in your line. |
