Japanese can try to hack UE nets. That will ruin UE command and logistics structure for a while. *Background.* In 2003 the war between USA and United Europe finally reached US soil. As UE troops landed on American East Coast, Japan faced difficult choice. Finally it agreed to honour its alliance with US and didn't follow UE warning to stay out of conflict. Japan could become an important platsdarm from which UE could launch an attak against US West Coast. So UE command started to prepair for invasion. --- --- --- TO: General Yamato, Commander of JSDF. FROM: Japanese Defence Commitie. SUBJECT: UE Invasion. Yesterday our fleet was defeated by United Europe Naval Forces. It is now clear that UE troops will land on Japanese shores tomorrow, on June 12th, 2003. You are to take all the means necessary to defeat the invasion. Our regular forces (13 Divisions and additional assets) are fully mobilised. We have also constructed formidable fortifications in strategiclly important points of Japan. Reserves divisions will be mobilised within 1,5 weeks. Guerilla units are fully ready for combat. Luckely our friends from CIA managed to obtain UE invasion plan. All landing zones were fortified, so enemy will have to pay for every step they make with their blood. The enemy force will consist mostly of Russian units. Expect three FDF (Fast Deployment Force) and five regular armies. FDF are Russian elite troops with combat experience from European Campaign. Regulars are poorly trained and underequiped. There will be some Eurpean troops present too, but we expect them to concentrate their attack on Okinawa, which is defended by Americans. The strong point of your enemy is their number. The week point is the lack of room for manevering. UE will probably have air superiority in this battle. Commander, you were trusted with saftey of our country. Our hopes are with you. Good luck. --- --- --- --- --- --- TO: General Alekseev, Japanese Front, Russian Federal Forces. FROM: United Europe - Eastern Command. SUBJECT: Operation "Fire Dragon". Commander, you have been tasked to execute your command's plan and defeat Japanese SDF on their territory. Yesterday we have defeated Japanese fleet and our troopships are heading for Japan as we speak. Your force will consist of 4th, 5th and 6th Combined Arms Armies of Russian Fast Deployment Force (these are your elite troops) and will also include regular troops from Far East Military District (3rd and 6th Guards Tank Armies, 5th, 11th and 15th Combined Arms Armies). Some European Forces (French Foreign Legion, Royal Marines and one UE Expeditionary Division will be present to support you). Our SVR, along with Spetsnaz units and British SBS teams reported that enemy forces are fully mobilised. The coast is heavily fortified, so expect an opposed landing. We outnumber Japanese, but bear in mind that excessive casaulties are not welcome. We will have air superiority in this battle. The weak point is supply. Remmember, that when you are on Japanese soil, we won't be able to supply you effectively. That's all for now. Good luck, commander. Alex Logon |
