When I first joined the Air Force in November 1968 The Air Force Tactical Air Command Was still flying F-100s
I was in Vietnam for two years. Yes, I volunteered to go over there twice. I was at Bien Hoa, Republic of Vietnam for a year. Here is an Aerial Shot of the base at Bien Hoa:
I was a weapons mechanic. That means that I loaded all the expendable munitions on planes. Bombs, bullets, napalm, CBU-types of stuff, rockets, missles........stuff like that. I worked a lot with A-37's. Here's a shot of a loaded A-37.
